What is the GHS? It is the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals which is embodied in Regulations Internationally and Nationally, thus essential for all who manufacture, pack and label chemical products and those containing chemicals. GHS provides a common global system for Classification of chemicals and products, compilation of GHS compliant Safety Data Sheets and labels. This is in addition to the well-known Transport Classification required for labelling larger quantities of chemicals and products, identifying legal types of packaging + marking of packages, vehicles and Shipping containers
GHS Introduction: 2 x half days – 09h30 to 13h30
GHS Advanced: 5 x half days - 09h30 to 13h30

The Advanced Course builds on this for Technical personnel, explaining the criteria and methodology essential for GHS Physical, Health & Environment Classification, information for those who need to learn to Classify & apply GHS Hazard Communication, compile GHS compliant Safety Data Sheets and Product labels AND those who need to use the GHS Classification for Workplace Risk Assessments – essential for Consultants!
