AARTO Webinars

We are still waiting for the AARTO Regulations to be published.  We anticipate that it will be within the next week.

This, unfortunately, leaves us with only a few weeks before the 1 December 2025 implementation. We are therefore only planning for webinars before implementation (timing for registration, preparation of AARTO information documents, availability of venues, etc.)

The proclamations implementing the AARTO Act and Amendment Act were published on 1 August 2025:

  • 69 municipalities will be part of the AARTO system from 1 December 2025 - see attached proclamation list
  • The remaining 144 municipalities will join on 1 April 2026 - see attached proclamation list
  • The points demerit system will be active from 1 September 2026.

Alta Swanepoel will be hosting the webinars covering the AARTO Act and Regulations. These sessions will detail the new procedures, service requirements, demerit points, and practical implications of the legislation.

Webinar dates and registration:

  • Dates:
  • 30 October 2025
  • 12 November 2025
  • 20 November 2025
  • 18 February 2026
  • Platform: Microsoft Teams
  • Content: All four webinars will cover the same information, so you can choose the date that best suits your schedule.
  • Time: 09h00 to 13h00
  • Cost: R2 500 per person (VAT inclusive)

We will only register and invoice the delegates after the publication of the regulations.  Please diarise the dates if you wish to attend one of the webinars. You are welcome to complete the attached registration form and return it to us.

What you will receive:

Each attendee will receive a PDF version of the presentation, the updated PDF AARTO Act and Regulations in our Compilation format, and a link to the Schedule 1 AARTO forms and Schedule 3 Charge Book, as published in the gazette.

 AARTO Compilation, Part II:

A printed (hard copy) of Part II of our AARTO Compilation will be available at an additional cost, once finalised and printed by LexisNexis. Part I is a Compilation of the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 and Regulations).  For more information, please contact the office.
