Forget whatever you knew about traffic fines - Demerit sytem to be launched Nationwide in the near future.
- AARTO introduces a complete revision on Traffic Fines.
- Companies/Owners become responsible for employee behaviour whilst using company vehicles. (Speeding, Reckless Driving, Unroadworthy Vehicles, DUI, etc)
- Companies/Owners will need to start an effective upskilling AARTO awareness program for all employees.
- Friendly prosecutors and 3rd party fine service providers are removed from the equation.
- Directors/Owners, you’re accountable for compliance, private or company time. Our workshop’s the key.
Fact
- A Company employee has only one Driver's Licence. Most employees rely on this licence to effectively perform their duties.
- Companies can expect significant disruption to operations for violations incurred outside office hours.(Monitoring private time behaviour?)
- Effective internal company policies can to some extent mitigate fallout. However these have little effect on employees outside office hours.
- Unpaid Traffic fines incurred in private capacity will result in non-renewal of Driver's & Vehicle licences.
- The trigger - Simply not paying traffic fines invokes an Enforcement Order. (AARTO 13 - Countless companies and individuals nationwide have been affected)
- A company can effectively manage internal traffic fines but have no control over outside office hours traffic fines.
AARTO a complex system forces companies, directors and individuals to take accountability for their actions.
- The owner/company/proxy is always responsible for vehicle condition including driver behaviour - "unless show differently".
- The aim is simple - "Make the offending party guilty for their actions."
AARTO, a timelined based system is run on business principles. (The right of use - Subject to AARTO Terms & Conditions)
- AARTO is currently operational in Johannesburg and Tshwane and soon to be rolled out nationally.
- However, in certain instances AARTO is effective nationally. Incurring a fine whilst visiting Johannesburg or Tshwane incurs the wrath of AARTO no matter where you stay.
- AARTO is a fair and just system which requires company understanding of the risks and the processes to mitigate the fallout.
