TCSE: Partnering for systems solutions The TCSE applies systems engineering as a methodical, disciplined approach for the design, realization, technical management, operations, and retirement of a system. A system in this context is a contract or collection of different elements that together produce results not obtainable by the elements alone.
The elements or parts can include people, hardware, software, facilities, policies, and documents, that is all required to produce system-level results. This approach is used to better comprehend and manage complexities towards Transnet challenges like operational efficiency, maintenance, knowledge management, technology management and capital execution, in pursuit of its Long-Term Planning Framework (LTPF) as embodied in the Market Demand Strategy (MDS).
